The deadline for receipt of entries is
4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in the main office of the Department of Language, Literature, and Communication (Sage 4508). Submit entries to
Jan Darling.
Keep copies of everything you submit. If you wish to have entries other than those submitted by email returned, provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope (you may omit the stamps if you have a campus mailing address).
The McKinney Committee reserves the right to retain for its files one copy of each winning entry for future reference by competitors and McKinney Committee members.
In a 9" x 12" envelope, include the following:
- one (1) copy of the completed entry form ( Word | PDF ), and
- three (3) copies of your submission using standard 8½" x 11" paper, single-sided and double-spaced
On the first page of your entry submission, include your title and the contest category but not your name. Number all subsequent pages, and precede the page numbers with a consistent keyword from your title.
Print "McKinney Contest" on the outside of your envelope. Please do not bend or fold your entries.
Note that all electronic media must be compatible with software found in Sage 4711 (Intel Lab) or Sage 4510.
By E-Mail
If submitting by e-mail, send the following:
- one (1) copy of the completed entry form ( Word | PDF ), and
- an Internet URL for entry (e.g., http://www.rpi.edu/~RCSID/)
On the first screen of your entry submission, include your title and category but not your name.
Send both the completed entry form and Internet URL to Jan Darling,
darlij@rpi.edu. Type "McKinney Contest" on the
Subject line of your e-mail message.
A return e-mail will be sent to you to acknowledge receipt of the entry. If you do not receive such an e-mail, please call Jan (x 6467), or see her in Sage 4508 to verify that your entry has been received.
On CD or DVD
In a 9" x 12" envelope, include the following:
- one (1) copy of the completed entry form ( Word | PDF ), and
- three (3) CDs or DVDs with an executable file as the entry (e.g., EXE Projector file for works created with Macromedia Director; SWF file for works created with Macromedia Flash).
Note: If your entry needs software such as a game engine to run, please include a copy of that software.
On the first screen of your entry submission, include your title and category but not your name.
Print "McKinney Contest" on the outside of your envelope.
